TUCSON LAW ENFORCEMENT MOTORCYCLE SWAP MEET AND FESTIVAL

On Sunday, March 9, 2008, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) will prohibit motor vehicle travel on Fourth Avenue, between 6th Street and 9th Street to accommodate the Tucson Law Enforcement Motorcycle Swap Meet and Festival.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use caution when traveling in the area. Motorists should obey all traffic control signs and law enforcement officers in the area and watch for event participants and pedestrians.

The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The Department’s nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Van Tran.
