TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Date: March 20, 2008

TOOLE AVENUE UTILITY WORK

**UPDATE**

Beginning Monday, March 24, 2008, travel lanes will be shifted along Toole Avenue between Congress Street and Pennington Street as crews facilitate underground utility work. There will only be one travel lane available for both northbound and southbound travel on Toole Avenue; therefore, travel restrictions with flaggers will be in place daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, March 28, 2008. During non-work hours, travel on Toole Avenue will return to one lane in each direction. The above schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or equipment malfunction.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving or bicycling in this work area. Business and residential access will be maintained. For your safety, please observe all traffic control signage, message boards, and obey reduced speed limits. Watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.

The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The Department’s nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Van Tran.
