UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD MAINTENANCE STREET CLOSURES

UPDATED

Union Pacific Railroad has rescheduled the start of track maintenance at the Fair Street crossing that will require the closure of Fair Street between Park Avenue and Fair Avenue. Below is updated schedule.

Wednesday, June 11, 2008 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Fair Street between Park Avenue and Fair Avenue

Thursday, June 12, 2008 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Bilby Road between Old Nogales Highway and First Avenue

Friday, June 13, 2008 – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Drexel Road between Old Nogales Highway and First Avenue

Motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians traveling in the work area are asked to please obey all traffic control signs and be alert for construction equipment and personnel working in the area.

The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The Department’s nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Van Tran.
