38TH ANNUAL FOURTH AVENUE WINTER STREET FAIR

To accommodate pedestrian travel for the Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair, the City of Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) will prohibit motor vehicle travel from 3rd Avenue to 5th Avenue, between University Boulevard and 9th Street beginning at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007 through Sunday, December 9, 2007, at midnight. University Boulevard, 6th Street, and 9th Street will remain open for motor vehicle traffic.

The traveling public can expect delays when driving in this area. Motorists should obey all traffic control signs and law enforcement officers, and watch for pedestrians.

The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The Department’s nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Van Tran.
