TRAFFIC ALERT Date: December 5, 2007 CUSHING STREET CLOSURE On Sunday, December 9, 2007, Cushing Street from Granada Avenue to Main Avenue will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to accommodate the staging of participants in the Sun Rider Motorcycle Toy Parade. The parade route will be east on Cushing Street, north on Church Avenue, east on Broadway, south on Country Club Road, east on 22nd Street, south on Alvernon Way, to south on Palo Verde Road, and west on Irvington Road to Beaudry RV. Proceeds will benefit Aviva Children's Services. Motorists should obey all traffic control signs and watch for event participants and spectators. The Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT) keeps Tucson moving smoothly and safely. The Department’s nearly 400 employees oversee the maintenance and reconstruction of nearly 4,400 lane miles of streets and are responsible for hundreds of drainage structures, public art pieces, street lights and signs, and traffic signs and signals in Tucson. TDOT also operates the City’s transit services, Sun Tran and Van Tran. | ||
